Kununurra?
Cave Man
August 29 2011

After a big day in the saddle we have lobbed into Kununurra.

Last night was spent in the Bungle Bungles following our exit from Halls Creek. Two bikes have some serious suspension damage, one is being held together by a ratchet strap . Wind drafting assistance had the bikes screaming at 95km/h, probably not good for longevity, so we decided that with over 900k’s to go, we might be better off allowing a little wind to get to the engines to allow cooling. Plus the old postie bikes get a slight speed wobble above about 80, makes for interesting riding.

The hospitality we have been afforded by Goose at the Town Centre Camp Site has been nothing short of amazing, once again, the generosity of those in the outback never ceases to amaze.

We are having a cracking time. We had steak and kidney pie this evening and Dave did a wicked job of sorting out the culinary delights.

Digit and Lynne are a welcome addition to our support crew having driven from Darwin, only to turn around again and join us on our odyssey north

Pato is back is his element refilling the esky, after an emergency call to Groges who shipped in some emergency supplies of Broo.

Some tough days ahead but the inspiration comes from knowing we are raising money for Kids with cancer.
